Honestly this is something I have been curious about for a while now and I finally decided to just ask because I cannot find a clear answer anywhere. I bought my Volvo about two and a half years ago and last week it suddenly would not start in the morning which was a complete shock because the car felt perfectly fine the day before. No warning lights, no slow starts, nothing. Just completely dead out of nowhere. I called a friend who has been living in Dubai much longer than me and he said this is actually pretty common here and that he had to look into Volvo car battery assistance Dubai for his own car about a year ago because the same thing happened to him. He mentioned that the heat here puts so much stress on the battery that two to three years is sometimes all you get which is quite different from what I was used to back home where batteries would easily last five years or more. I checked and it actually confirmed this and explained how high temperatures cause the battery fluid to evaporate faster which damages the internal cells over time even if the car looks and drives fine on the outside. I feel like this is something nobody really tells you when you move to a hot climate. My main question now is whether I should just replace the battery or get a full check done first to make sure there is nothing else causing the drain. Also is there a specific battery brand that holds up better in extreme heat because I want to avoid going through this again so soon?
