Okay so I really need some help figuring this out because I am getting a bit tired of dealing with this issue every few days. I have a Chevrolet and for the past three weeks the battery keeps going flat overnight. I park the car, everything seems fine, and then next morning it just will not start. I checked all the obvious things like making sure the lights are off and doors are properly closed but nothing seems to fix it. My neighbor suggested it could be a parasitic drain which I had honestly never heard of before. I started doing some research online and found
www.carbatteryreplacement-abu-dhabi.ae/chevrolet-battery-replacement which explained the whole parasitic drain thing really well and also talked about how older batteries lose their ability to hold charge properly even if they are not fully dead yet. I did not realize that a battery can test okay on a basic check but still be too weak to last overnight. The site also mentioned that Chevrolet models sometimes have electrical components that stay active longer than they should after you lock the car. I am now thinking maybe my battery is just old and worn out rather than there being some big electrical problem. Has anyone dealt with something similar with their Chevrolet? I want to understand if replacing the battery will actually solve this or if I need to get the full electrical system checked as well before spending money on anything.
